In world war 2 the U.S. military developed and successfully tested a system that would use bats to deliver a massive napalm attack with small incendiary device attached to them on timers.....a large telescoping bat delivery system was built that resembled a giant telescoping kitchen fruit basket that would deliver 10's of thousands of bats (I believe in the hundreds of thousands off the top of my head)............the plan was ultimately scrapped after the atomic bomb was invented.
