When my dad had his practice he used to hate INS cases worse than anything.

I'm sure he would have refused them except that usually the people who came to him were in really deep trouble, enough so that he couldn't just tell them he didn't like that kind of work.

(his favorite cases were straightforward adoptions, which didn't make much money but which he liked since it was the only work he did where everyone would go away happy)
