I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor, in Political Science from Penn State (graduated top of my class...3.98 GPA actually)...yes, I really did graduate with a "legal degree."
No, you really didn't. I did, but you didn't. The only legal degree of note is the Juris Doctor, or Bachelor of Laws, each of which is a post-graduate degree. Criminal Justice, like Education, is a bullshit degree for losers.
I know that a Juris Doctorate is the only law degree that really matters. That's why I used the quotes around "legal degree."
I have taken a lot of law classes, but I haven't gone to law school (yet). I was accepted at Dickinson Law School (which is now part of Penn State now), but I never attended (yet). I somewhat foolishly allowed friends on the faculty to talk me into enrolling in their then new MPA in Criminal Justice instead of going directly to law school. It is what it is I guess...but now I wish I hadn't.
I will agree that Criminal Justice can be a bullshit degree for losers...but I noticed they got weeded out within the 1st 2 years. I only saw it, and used it as a stepping stone for what I really want to accomplish. Kind of why I minored in Political Science & took all of the law classes I could.
