Possibly, I know they evolved it into a plot line later on.
In the documentary, Brett was fucking losing it after the match, and when he confronted Shawn in the locker room, Michaels seemed to be just as surprised by what went down. I think McMahon's back was up against the wall, and he just freaked. The possibility of losing millions of dollars in viewership-revenue will do that to a man.
Sadly, I wish the crew would have followed Brett into McMahon's locker room. I would have loved to see him punch McMahon out. Is that lawsuit settled by the way?
