how do you crop scanned images with linux

so i can scan and make it look decent now but how do i crop so i dont post a big ass pic with the white border?pics are of kat gutierrez from a car show last summer btw

also is it just easier on windows 7?because i have it but havent bothered installing it yet.

thanks.i actually thought of that when i was flipping through a magazine earlier.i already have it on my comp.but maybe you know if windows 7 has similar stuff?

actually fuck.how do i crop on there?i used autocrop and it only cropped vertically.

There is a windoze vesion of gimp out there- http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/. Not sure how to autocrop here, though.

For just cropping and resizing, I use Free Picture Resize Starter. Free download, don't remember where I got it. Google, brutha. Has some basic tools (brighten, contrast, etc.).
