In the documentary, Brett was fucking losing it after the match, and when he confronted Shawn in the locker room, Michaels seemed to be just as surprised by what went down. I think McMahon's back was up against the wall, and he just freaked. The possibility of losing millions of dollars in viewership-revenue will do that to a man. Sadly, I wish the crew would have followed Brett into McMahon's locker room. I would have loved to see him punch McMahon out. Here is the real story. Hart was leaving WWF for WCW. Brett didnt want to drop the title at the PPV, which was in Canada,his home country. He agreed to drop the title to Micheals the next day on Monday Night Raw in a rematch. Everyone agreed to that. McMahon had second thoughts about his main draw going over to WCW and making WWF look bad. The finsh of the match was already planned and Michaels,Hebner and McMahon plotted to change it,without Hart's knowledge. During the match, Micheals had Brett in his finisher,but McMahon ordered the referee to ring the bell because Hart tapped out. He never did. Hart lost the belt in front of a Canadian crowd, which was something he didn't want to do. This led to accusations and a brawl backstage with Vince getting a blackeye.
