Teagan's case was unusual: it wasn't her performances that got her this far but rather her looks. There was a frenzy over her the likes of which you rarely see, and this was BEFORE her first video was released: it was all from photo stills. Messing with her looks is rather questionable since that's messing with the core of her popularity.
