Just the term rent to own makes it sound like a scam. At least to me.

I know owner contract was the term, but that was a while ago. It may have changed. If they look at you weird, call it the seller carrying the contract. The realtor (I knew I was spelling it wrong) will ask you for basically a wish list. Hard floors, number of beds/ baths...all that. An owner contract would be just another thing on the list.
