Caught this last nite. I'm not a Pop Evil fan, but this is a great video.

If you are a metal fan from the hairband era, this is must-see television!

I fucking love King Diamond!! I honestly couldn't stand Mercyful Fate. But I loved the gimmick. It was the age of "backmasking". According to every traveling bodybuilding/ show of strength evangelist there were backward messages in the Led Zeppelin and Black Oak Arkansas tellin the chilren to worship the Satan. I had a buddy who was worried about my Eternal Soul, so I got dragged to a lot of them. It was all secret, sneaking into our fragile little minds. And this dude comes out with like 20 upside down Crosses singing about Satan's nuns. Nothin sneaky there.

The guy just recently went off the reservation in an interview about his cat just died and how much he and wife loved that cat, and how that cat was really a special creature not to them but to the world. Dude loves his cat. He's presidential material. Even my SO doesn't think he's so scary anymore. And she may may let me paint the Boy as KD for Halloween. Maybe the Fatal Portrait era.

Great interview. I felt so bad for Joe. He had no idea what to make of this guy. But he kept that came up in the 50s local TV guy smile and upbeat attitude.

Joe Franklin is an American institution. He would interview anyone and make them sound like the second coming.

Here he is interviewing Marky and Joey. He keeps referring to them as the Raymones. The guys don't even bother to correct him.

The shuffle feature on cheap mp3 players is quirky at best. I have a folder that just has stuff to go on a new player when I trash the old one. Drag, drop, done. I don't pay much attention to the folder, other than putting in new stuff I stumble on. I usually hear Tiny Dancer at least 3 times a night.

So last nite, for the first time ever since going to mp3s, this little jewel popped up. Christmas in October.
