I had this neat, revolutionary idea to save the country where we put some directive in place where every couple of years the people get to nominate 1 person from each house of congress to publicly execute. No lobbying. No corporate influence. Just a flat out majority-rules vote from the population. If these guys where voting with their lives instead of their wallets, I bet they would actually think about the country and the constituents before they cast their bullshit votes that end up benefiting THEM financially. Perfect world and all that.
