Jerk: I don't know. I think they won some games, because they had those three young pitchers (Hudson, Mulder, Zito) and good pitching usually beats good hitting. Then you get to the playoffs, and the pitchers get pressure on them, and you go against teams that can do both, you fail. None of those pitchers lasted either.
