I guess the worth of my collection has diminished. The ban never bothered me, I had all the thing I wanted before it became law. I am glad it has lapsed.
All I can tell the law did was to make the listed guns very valuable. An example I sold 4 rifles and the proceeds paid for a 20'x 30' shop on a concrete slab.
I was lucky. Ten weeks before the ban, I bid on two lots of 25 Colt CAR15s that were sold, at auction to FFL holders, by the DEA when they went to Styre AUGs and I won. Bid price low $300.00 each. You do the math on what they were worth just weeks after taking delivery.
One other thing I also spent 12 years in a large metropolitan police department. The last 10 as a sergeant in the Crime Scene Investigation Unit. I never worked a case that involved one of the banned weapons. I have not worked in that field in the last 5 years, but there still has not been an issue in my area.
Tyrants love unarmed subjects.
Am now off soap box, please forgive.
