Maybe a strange question but how offensive did he smell after a dip in a river in Michigan. Michigan had a bad rep when I lived in the US and it is quite possibly worse in Canada.

Also, I want to know the legality of the US. Like can you travel through Canada in a RV if your destination is Alaska?

Michigan is great in the summer. This was a seemingly clean river, the south branch of the Rifle River. Some of the farms around the area have a heavy barnyard smell, other than that, this part of Michigan I really enjoy. It is slightly cooler here than back in Dayton, and there are backroads and trails aplenty.

We were out around West Branch and Grayling today. Camped near a little town named Sterling.

I think you need a passport or visa or something to go to Canada, I also know if you have an old drunk driving charge you probably won't get in.

Just did a bunch of research. Canada is very very fussy about any kind of past issues no matter how old, Felony or Misdemeanor. There must be exceptions about it and of course you could be dishonest at the border. But my understanding is they have access to pretty much all of your records of anything in the US (as in if your DUI was in Bolivia it probably wouldn't be an issue).

I sincerely doubt it's a blanket rule or that it isn't flexible somehow. I have more misdemeanors than I have fingers and nobody has ever looked twice at me (being white can't hurt).

You have to meet the regular requirements to drive through Canada even if your destination is Alaska, I believe. If there is an exception, I would be surprised.

We don't require much for a place, a decent campsite and some back country to explore. At 7 MPG, Michigan looked a lot better than going up across the Great Plains or something like that. I have some medical appointments in Dayton later this month, after that, we may come back here for August.

i had two cats that liked to scratch and bite on my record sleeves.i moved them up a level and they grew and started it up again.i guess that was payback for the first time they heard me scratching when they were really little.some of the litter ran away and one jumped ontop of the food container and started gnawing on it all angrily.

my first cat was a classic tabby like that one up there.she got chubby after my parents took her kittens away.ill hook the scanner up to the mac and show em off and my two cockerspaniel poodles that i have.

My cat's been doing a really good job of playing fetch today. She keeps either jumping up on the couch and dropping her feather toy on me or dropping it on the carpet right next to me. Originally, the feather toy was attached to a plastic wand and I had jammed the wand into the door of my mini-fridge so that she could tug on it and play around, but she just pulled on it so hard that the wand broke and she dragged the whole thing over to me and dropped it in my lap.

Why are you keeping Emo in a crate? I realize he might be crate trained, but is it to avoid damage to the motor home thing (or is it an RV?).

OK, here's what my little monster did yesterday. You can see her peering out from underneath the chair there. That USED to be my favorite glass lamp table.

The table has this little tassel pull on a string. I think she had jumped up to play with it as a toy and sent the whole thing crashing over. I didn't post the second half of the incident. Immediately after the crash, she sprinted across the room and body slammed an old Apple flatscreen monitor that I was going to donate to charity. She broke the back stand off of it.

When I came into the room, I thought that was the only thing broken, even though I clearly had heard glass breaking. So I was a little confused. I went back into the kitchen and came back after I heard this strange plink-plink-plink sound, which was my cat pickup up pieces of glass in her mouth and dropping them on the floor. She just goes nuts every once in a while and does things like leap halfway up the wall to scratch a spot that looks like a bug. But she's never done real damage before this. Between the two items, it was $1,000+ in the span of 10 seconds.

She was in "timeout" for a whole day, locked in a room. Which only served to irritate me, because she'd go into these loud meowing fits every time she heard my voice. She's since been released, having learned nothing.

You can't punish a cat using dog psychology. In fact you can't punish a cat w/o doing something that would make them hate you. The only thing that works for mine is stern no if I catch them doing something I don't want or a spray of water if they're in the act.

I successfully broke her of the habit of chewing on stereo & power cables by lemon-facing her. I got super mad, yelled at her, squeezed fresh lemon juice onto her face and then swiped all the cables with the rest of the lemon. She spent about an hour or two cleaning herself up and never bit on another cable again.

Although she would sometimes creep back behind the stereo just to fuck with me because she knew she wasn't supposed to go back there. I'd yell at her and she'd run off making crazy meows. It's in a cat's nature to be mischievous and play games.

Cats really are the fuuniest of domesticated animals. They love you endlessly, but they know you work for them.

If I have one issue with my cat, it's that she doesn't come when I call her name. And she's totally attached to me, too. When we're in the same room, she watches every move I make, follows me when I leave the room, waits outside the door when I'm in the bathroom and even reaches her front paws underneath the door to try to pull herself under the door or something.

When I leave the house, she runs to the window next to the door and watches me drive off. And she runs to the door when I get home and claws the front door rug along with me as I'm wiping my feet. But right now, I'm watching T.V. downstairs, she's upstairs and when I call her name... nothing. Oh well, cats is cats.

i had a cat growing up and she did that paw under the bathroom door shit all the time.she wanted to play,so sometimes id rip off a long piece of toilet paper and swat it around so she could hit it to her hearts content.sometimes shed even take a shit when id take a shit since her litter box was in the bathroom.

Oh no. I'd never intentionally do anything to actually hurt her. I just know cats hate the scent of citrus and this was a way of teaching her an important lesson. Worked perfectly and only just the one time.
