My folks thought it was a kids song that was part of the HR Puffinstuff franchise. I never ever bought into it being a weed song. Just folksy 60's nonsense music. Hooky as fuck tho. What wasn't to like?

Never could fully get into Hank 3, but I do respect the shit out of him for giving Duane Dennison a job on guitar. Then again, I've heard very little. I'll give that shit a go when I get home to a computer with speakers.

Across Tundras has an extremely varied catalogue, but always involves the same themes of Americana, western expansion, and the unspoken loneliness of the great plains and south-western United States throughout most of the early to mid 1900's in their lyrics. They have an excellent song called "Life On The Grainbelt" you might want to check out if you get a chance.












Like I said, their shit jumps around a little, but stays centralized when it comes to their overall themes. Like I've stated numerous times, I have no sound here, so those videos could be rick-rolls for all I know.

Hank3 is like the Ralph Macchio character from the movie Crossroads. Hank desperately wants to play in another genre than where his God given gift resides. Hank3 is really good metal bassist but he was born to sing old time country music.

Oasis is (was?) a great great band. I never got the Beatles comparison, but for a poppy mainstream rock act, they were (are?) fantastic. I loved how whenever the brother was interviewed they had to add subtitles.
