I fucking hate basketball. Mostly because it's one sport I could never picture myself playing. Too much fucking running back and forth. You could be fat like Prince Fielder or John Kruk and play baseball. And starting pitchers only have to work once every 5 days. Football is a lot of work, but you don't have to run like crazy if you're a lineman. Basketball is nothing but running.

I guess I did go on a little rant there that had nothing to do with March Madness. Sorry, no bracket for me. The only positive experience I've had with March Madness was winning extra credit way back in high school by pulling the eventual winner's name out of a hat. That, and I was with someone in a wedding party in Vegas who won $50k parlaying bets during March Madness. I also hate gambling, so I have no idea what the fuck I just said.

I don't know shit about college basketball. That is a degenerate gambler's game, rife with shadiness. I'm just doing it for fun, since that is all I'm going to be hearing about on sports talk radio. Only money I have down is in a block pool for the championship game. And as often as the score changes, I probably won't follow the game, just check the net when it is over.

I don't know where you live but there is at least a 50/50 chance that the name mentioned most often on sports talk radio next week will be Peyton Manning.

I listen to a station out of NYC, so although college football isn't a big topic, college/Big East basketball usually is.

Not to hi-jack, but I think Peyton is hell bent to sign somewhere before the start of free agency. That way he can help recruit.

This bracket should settle any and all debate about whether or not the NCAA/CBS manipulate the bracket for dramatic effect. There is no way the following are accidents.

1. Kentucky gets set up to play UConn in the second round in a rematch of last year's national semi-final. For a bonus you get two slimy coaches who can't stand each other facing off.

2. Kentucky being set to follow that game with a rematch against a traditional rival who happens to be the only team to beat them in the regular season. Subplot of Bob Knight absolutely loathing Weaselpari as well.

3. Should Kentucky win those, they are looking at a potential rematch with Duke twenty years after the Laettner shot. The floor of CBS's headquarters will resemble the aftermath of a cross eyed mope bukkakefest if this plays out.

4. Duke potentially playing UNLV in the NCAA for the first time since the 1991 championship game.

5. Setting up the Midwest bracket to be the Roy Williams Invitational with North Carolina and Kansas on a collision course with each other.

6. Lining up Creighton as a second round opponent for Carolina. For those not in the know each team's star All-American player played on the same high school basketball team in Ames, Iowa. That team went 53-0 and won two state championships their junior and senior years in high school.

7. Putting every team Bob Huggins has ever coached in the same regional.

8. Right after Michigan's football coach starts calling Ohio State "Ohio" the Wolverines end up getting Ohio in the first round.

This bracket is scripted better than anything Vince McMahon has done since the Survivor Series in Montreal.

If you picked Syracuse to go far, you might want to reconsider. One of their starters was declared ineligible for the tournament.

The Duke and Missouri games didn't really hurt me too much. I had Missouri losing to Florida in the next round anyway and had Duke losing to Baylor. It's all the other games that are killing me. Four of my Sweet Sixteen teams are already gone. At least all of my Elite 8 teams made it past the first round.

Amazing, 8 of my Sweet 16 teams are knocked out but all 8 of them were teams I had losing in that round. All of my Elite 8 picks are still alive.

That is pretty amazing. This year is a perfect example of why I'm not going to screw with filling out a bracket again. Well, that and Clemson whiffed entirely this season.

I did learn a lot with my bracket this year. You can miss a lot of early games as long as you don't have the teams you miss with going very far.

Good for you, if you learned something from your bracket. All my brackets have ever taught me is to not bother filling out a bracket. I took that advice this year.
