Yeah, the last couple books, meh. The one that was reprints of his sporadic ESPN2 (?) columns was rough to read. I forget if I even made it the whole way through.
Yeah, I was speaking as someone who likes the work HST has done. I can remember being thrilled to find out he was writing for ESPN but after reading those columns...not so much. It was a shame he never had a second act. Still,
Hells Angels and
Fear and Loathing is one helluva legacy.
