Unfortunately it is about 3.5 times the price of the 177RG, and because of insurance requirements, I probably couldn't get a loan if I can't insure it, so... it'll be end of the year at the earliest (if ever).

Stinson would make a good hobby plane or weekend puddlejumper, but I'd rather get a Aviat Huskey if that was what I was looking at.


That's a nice looking plane. I don't know anything about Stinsons other than they are tail-draggers and my retired mechanical engineer neighbor keeps one (actually two) at his house and has his own airstrip. (Country living, not an airpark). He has to be one of the oldest pilots in the southeast and is certified as a mechanic as well. I never flew an RG plane and I guess the sexiest thing I flew was a Piper Archer. Compared to the 152 trainer and 172's it was like a sports car.
