Actually, raw peeps don't do sugar. Do you mean sugar as in fruit? Then, they'd be having tons of energy. Even ppl who try to be as raw as possible don't do sugar as in cookies, candy, etc, and most raw dessert recipes are fruit sweetened- not even cane sugar sweetened. In fact, plenty even try to steer away from sugar-rich agave syrup.

I find soups, garnishes, sauces, dips, dressings to be the easy stuff to make. The other stuff like 'breads' etc look hard and labor intensive, yes. For now, I've had great results and fun with what I do know how to make.

Again, that depends. Are they eating Pepperridge Farm cookies or even tofutti cuties? Are they eating fruit? Are they face down into a pile of xylitol or however you spell it? What do you mean? If they're eating fruit, they're getting tons of energy. If not, they're not eating enough fruit.

I'm pretty sure when I cook vegetable sous vide they keep all of their nutrients. I say this because they're being cooked in a vacuum-sealed pouch, so there is nowhere for the nutrients to escape to. They keep their color this way too, rather than looking all dulled-out like when you oversteam veggies.

I've never eaten an all-vegan or raw diet, but for a while there I was doing a day or two a week of drinking only freshly-made Mean Green veggie juice. Some people swear by the stuff. There's a movie about it. "Fat Sick & Nearly Dead," I think.

I had a friend who was dating a total vegan for a while. She came to a BBQ and couldn't find anything to eat so she took a hot dog bun, filled it with potato chips and topped it with ketchup. She had a son that she was also raising to be all-vegan. Like her, he was pale, thin, sickly looking and half-retarded. I think no one ever told her that your brain is made up of mostly fat & cholesterol. I heard about some hippies a while back who fed their infant nothing but low-fat shit like granola and now the kid is permanently retarded directly from their dieting decision. Omitting meat and dairy from your diet does not mean "ok cool I can load up on absolute crap all day and that means I'm healthy." NO.

If she knew she was going to a barbeque, she could've eaten a better choice there, let's say, a salad. If she figured there may not even be salads, she could've just eaten before going to the barbeque or even been a gracious guest and prepared a dish appealing to her vegan palette and the carnivores there, such as a really cool bread or crackers with an olive tapenade spread. Or hell, guacamole and salsa are PERFECT vegan yet suitable for all at a barbeque.

I have plenty of vegan and raw vegan friends with babies and children. They are NOT feeding their children granola. Again, vegan doesn't mean eat garbage as long as it's not meat/dairy. Granola is sugar-laden, lacks nutrients, and has more calories than a serving of Fruity Pebbles. My friends' kids eat a rich palette of food, are in perfect health, have tons of energy, and began reading earlier than other kids their age.
