I vaguely recall that name. They were a very small start-up trying to break into the east-coast ethnic market when PXP got started.

The confusion between "Platinum Pictures" and "Platinum X Productions" completely dried up their orders - the dealers didn't know the difference.

So a small struggling startup beginning to get enough revenue to pay the bills turned into a small struggling startup with no revenue at all.

They may well have been as respectable as such outfits can be last year but may now be deep into the death spiral, especially if they owe outsiders cash, and those outsiders are now running things.
