Well I just don't believe that someone would lie and say they have cancer - especially severe cancer - when in actuality they don't.
But we all know it does happen. People do claim they have cancer who do not, in fact, actually have cancer. People do this as a way to get things (money, sympathy, pity, attention, favors) and to get out of things (contracts, relationships, jobs, careers). Not wanting to believe in something that exists doesn't make it go away.
In Raven Alexis's case I especially don't believe it because I don't see how she would be desperate for money. If she wanted to remain in porn and work, I'm fairly sure she'd receive a lot of bookings considering her popularity.
And what if, God forbid, she didn't want to remain in porn work?
If she just wanted to escort she'd make much more money with a full head of hair rather than shaving it all off to "fake cancer". If anything I'd think that she'd make less not having her trademark "look" - plus I doubt many John's would want to book a woman who's terminally ill.
I think you are confusing yourself. She is the one claiming she is "terminally ill" and then going out and escorting more than a year after that claim was made. People here are questioning the validity of her claim; some of them for exactly the same reason you are making... wait a minute, which side are you on again?
OR maybe she exaggerated because she was initially in shock.
Finally! Now we are getting to the reality of what we all believe.
What if she did exaggerate and it wasn't because she was initially in shock?
What if she had a very benign form of cancer that is pretty common and easily treated for little more than the cost of having a wart removed and went on a national radio program and claimed to have "STAGE 4 BRAIN CANCER" and beg for money?
What if she then had multiple interviews with people about her "Stage 4 Brain Cancer" and never corrected the misconception and continued to accept money from people who thought they were helping her pay for her chemotherapy and radiation and surgery and lost wages and to make her last few months of life on earth pleasant?
What if none of that was true?
As long as it was just a complete exaggeration that she knew would be totally misconstrued by the suckers who sent her money, that is totally different than a lie, right? ... uh, isn't it?
Also who's to say she's not in remission?
Because "Stage 4 Brain Cancer" doesn't go into remission.
Really it's no one's business. From what I saw she made only a few announcements about her illness and then was quiet which I think is the appropriate thing to do in such a situation.
I agree that whatever happens to Raven Alexis is none of my business in a general sense. And since I've never seen any of her porn, I don't have any personal interest in whether she lives or dies.
Nevermind Raven, if ANYBODY goes on the national media and then begs for money to pay for their medical care, then they have given up their privacy and should be obligated to reveal what exactly they are trying to seek care for.
Stay off of an international satellite entertainment program begging for money and your personal life is your own.
Go on an international satellite entertainment program trolling for cash in order to pay for the treatment of your mystery cancer that you're too demure to name, and I have every right to scream "BULLSHIT!"
It's all pretty simple really.
Considering that she's probably suffering why is her illness and the question of her illness being brought into the public now?
Because it has been more than a year since she had the dreaded, terminal "Stage 4 Brain Cancer" and is showing up looking healthy and very much non-suffering in her advertisements for escorting work. People are beginning to ask very legitimate, very logical questions about the validity of those claims that she thought would just fade away once the checks were cashed and the money spent.
I think that this is simply GANGSTALKING via a bunch of bullies who get their kicks out of stressing out a terminally ill woman which is the DEFINITION of SATANIC and EVIL.
An interesting writers technique of displaying the whole exaggerating for effect thing you were referring to earlier, no? Pretty smart.
