hehe... I see what you did there. He's feeding him the same food I did, Purina One large breed puppy formula, based on how good he looked when I took him in there. Normally he feeds Purina Pro Plan, which is a higher reviewed food. When I get him back I'll stick with his present brand or may switch him to Diamond Naturals, which is less expensive and even higher rated.

The trainer doesn't use shock collars and nothing I've seen or heard indicates force is ever used. He did, at the beginning, use pieces of dog biscuit sparingly. He says it gets the dog started paying attention to his hands and he doesn't use the treat every or even most of the time. I think he described it like this: "that biscuit don't have to be there all the time, just enough that the dog wants it to be there".

I'm not sure how the trainer would do with troubled dogs like the "Dog Whisperer" sees, but he definitely has an immediate connection with dogs.
