I have been crushing on patrice oneal of late.

Patrice is fucking amazing and highly underrated, too bad he kicked the bucket before he got the break he deserved.

I've been digging on Eugene Mirman a lot lately. He pretty much does rapid-fire absurdist humor that is extremeley funny at times, and so unfunny at other times that it borderlines on anti-comedy. It's hard to explain. He's either dead-on, or "so bad he's good".

i find Neil Hamburger to be a big "so bad he's good" guy. a lotta niggas hate him, but i think he's the shit. His RHCP stuff is gold.

I caught Neil Hamburger as the opening act to a Tim & Eric live show in Seattle a while back. It was an interesting combination of funny, awkward & vulgar. Tim & Eric's live show and their T.V. show was kind of hit & miss and all over the place, but I loved it for some reason.

I found one of the best episodes of the Tim & Eric show online. It's called "Universe." Just skip the first 30 second or so until Celebrity Zillions starts. The whole thing is only 12 minutes long and ends in a moment of creepy brilliance.

I never got how Katt Williams makes money. He's about the worst semi-prominent comedian I ever saw and just not delivering.

I have a few Neil Hamburger albums and seen him live a couple of times, Don't know why blacks wouldn't like him, his schtick is a modern-day Kaufman put on of bad stand up.

Also totally agree about Eugene Mirman. Patton Oswalt and Todd Barry are also great.

Tim and Eric are brilliant with awkward comedy. I absolutely loved Tom Goes To The Mayor, and the Awesome Show is just fucking out there. The thing with the awesome show is, whether it's funny or not, I just can't peel my eyes away from the screen for the duration of the 15 minute run time. It's compelling. An eclectic mix of morbid curiosity and people-watching.

Also, let' not forget Dave Chappelle. Talk about a funny motherfucker.

My friend just turned me on to Maron. I was luke warm about his stand up (and guests' stand up) , but he gets the funny to come out in interviews. I like to hear guys talking about what they do. That Patrice O'neal interview he reposted is insane,

The guy is an idiot. There is not a single peer reviewed study on "alpha brain" but Joe still endorses it which makes him an idiot and a fraud.

alpha brain sponsors his podcast. as does the fleshlight. he works through the "commercials" with a certain style that's all his. most hate it but it makes for a free 2-3 hour show a few times a week so it's all good and the hate it generates every now and then is fun to watch or hear about.

I got nothing against him making money or having sponsors. It's just that he takes a pretty big hit to his credibility as an intelligent person if one of his sponsors amounts to magic beans.

I just can't get into listening to a guy who takes his listeners for fools and tries to scam them. I would have zero problems with the guy if he were sponsored by a quality product.

Alpha Brain is more costly than my blood pressure medicine and it's just snake oil made in China.

If Joe takes on a sponsor that makes their product on this continent and sells products that ACTUALLY WORK I'll be happy to support him.

Also the inventor of the Fleshlight, yup he also invented alpha brain. And no he is not a doctor.

For contrast Adam Carolla is sponsored by mangrate Made in the US and it actually does something and doesn't cost 34 bucks every 10 days to use.

Rogan can go fuck himself just because he has no reason at all to be doling out any kind of medical advice and there is not a doctor who endorses his magic pills (maybe you can find one, I can't).

In order to use Rogan's pills as directed they would cost 90 dollars a month and they don't have a single study to back up any of their claims.

I get that you like his show but the guy is a scam artist and as a rule I don't have anything to do with people who blatantly try to trick those who would support the show. And not particularly artful at that.

As far as shit I have been listening to I am enjoying Jay and Silent Bob get old.

The show doesn't have a real distinct theme but it's fun banter and it seems to be done from a stage so there is audience participation.

Absolutely, positively the best interviews of comedians you will ever hear. Ron Bennington's "Unmasked" Ron is a comedian himself, and kills with his XMRadio show daily. But he is an even better interviewer.

It looks like the unmasked interviews are there for the taking, but if you page up to the main ronbenningtoninterviews site you will see he's covering all fields of interesting people. some of those appear to be password protected but I think the password is an inside joke for XM Radio listeners and you should be able to find it through google.
