Had the pleasure of hanging in Hell's Kitchen last night with Gia. An expert on all things edible, Gia suggested this cool place V{IV}.




The place was cool, the food was killer and all the wait staff was made up of mostly hot Asian girls in little sequin dresses.





After dinner we took some photos in the restaurant (including a snap of Gia's sneakers) and in front of the place. Then Gia took me to one of her favorite outlets for eats, the Amish Market on 9th Ave.



Gia wanted me to take her photo by all of this amazing food. However, she quickly grew impatient with my framing choices and she decided to shoot the photo herself.

All in all a fun evening, and Gia was easily the hottest girl in both the restaurant and Amish Market.

Hell's Kitchen. 9th Ave between W 48th-49th. It's the best grocery store, more like grocery boutique, I've ever been to. I could go broke in there! Maybe I will since I'm there near daily. Not Amish at all; it's just a moniker to evoke old-timey, home baked goodness and the gourmet country decor. I'm a sucker for interiors and architecture! Their patisserie, salad bar, and deli is pure quality. The rest of the store is grocery aisles of fine foods. In LA, I'd compare it to Bristol Farms, but not quite as expensive.

Tips are 20%, but you wouldn't know anything about that since you've never been in an actual restaurant.

Gia could actually make a good living as a nutritionist and/or diet and exercise life coach. She has quite the extensive knowledge of food and the nutritional value of most things edible.

I think she is missing her calling.

I went there again today for their $7.99 lunch special. It includes appetizer. Heather had the Tom Yum soup and the entree cashew chicken. I had the garden ginger salad and the entree pad se-ew with mixed vegetables. I love how their lunch special lasts until 7pm!

Then I went to Donna Bell's bakery. If you want Southern style, home made baked goods that are huge servings for cheap and $2 coffee, there you go. I got a cinnamon butter biscuit.

And then you purged it 5 minutes later.

Ate at the New York Athletic Club last night. Had the vegetable soup. I wasn't very hungry. This place is jacket required. I wish someone had told me that before I got on the subway, and of course, phones don't work once you're on the platform underground. They had an issue with my above the knee dress and no stockings. I went into a drug store and bought black stockings so I could eat dinner. The New York Athletic Club is a hotel with a restaurant inside. They don't even allow texting inside the lobby.

I'm sorry, but I'm going back to the Amish Market. Does it purport to be Amish, or is it just a name that has nothing to do with the Amish? Dammit, I need Amish answers.

Tomorrow morning, my bf and I are having breakfast at a wonderful Jewish deli in Long Island called Zan's. Their spinach knish is very good. Not to starchy or heavy. More spinach than potato. Lots of vegetarian items for him there as well.
