I am doing a serious project on the porn industry and I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

The project will be based on how technology has influenced the pornography industry. Id like to discuss all the issues regarding pornography and technology. From the very beginnings where ASCII characters were sent to one another, to the maturation of the industry with premium sites and web cams.

How do you feel technology has influenced the industry and how you have accessed it?

If anyone has any insight or ideas, I would be greatly appreciative!

You should look more into how porn has influenced technology instead of the other way around. What role has porn played in which new technologies and formats get accepted by consumers.

And when will we get to the "Brainstorm" movie level of porn where we are fully immersed and can get caught up into it and left in a twitching pile of unstoppable orgasms?

Get something more elaborate done than just peddling the old shit like that VHS was supposedly the winner in two competing formats with Betamax actually being technically superior. As if it's anything more than some shitty talking point incompetent producers of television documentaries copy from wherever they find it in.
Look at the MP3 format today. It's technically crappy compared to other codecs, yet still is dominant.
People don't give a shit about quality. Tech tardism'll do that to anything rational in the electronics field as well. Have fun.

^^ I agree, but I think there's starting to be a backlash. Not porn, but the Dr. Dre $150 headphones. High quality, high price. I have to admit I'm not sure if it's quality or Dre's name that they're buying.

AKG is the shit. Among several other ones. Spending a bit more on headphones is about the best thing to do for some solid stereo. No shiny and useless feature nonsense and on with it.

Those Dre's sound like shit. Really, they're like DJ phones at best.

They block out background noise well? The ear buds that came with my phone let all the lawn mower and weed wacker noise right through.

Both of those are over the ear phones. They make a nice noise canceling bud set called ATH-ANC23.
