I haven't heard too many stories about Anderson but O'Malley has had violent little hissy fits that would rival Steve Austin's (Today Is The Day), Steve Austin got into a fight with Neurosis once over a powerstrip, A power strip!......Anyways, this isn't about Steves A.'s douchbaggery. It's just funny to me O'Malley actually thought or thinks he going to become a famous rockstar doing drone music. Just the whole pretentiousness of Southernlord in general. O'Malley and Anderson both horde their own vinyl releases so they can make an ebay killing selling to pizza faced fanboy idiots a few years later. O'Malley had a tantrum a few years ago and almost killed someone in the audience flinging a monitor into the crowd. (I realize this very hypocritical of me when I find the audience abuse antic of other acts like AxCx, G.G. Allin, The Dwarves ...ect amusing).....It different when he tries to play the "I'm a tortured delicate deranged genius" bullshit. ......I adore all kinds of noisy music from total lo fi shit to more serious acts, but the total art faggery of some acts is absurd. Stuff like Sunn can be rewarding and powerful but ultimately it's a bunch of assholes with lots of amps who sound like they are turning their guitars for 80 minutes or leaving them up against the speaker cabs and walking out of the room, get over your selves......
