It's absolutely hysterical how much assholes will shell out for some ultra limited edition of the latest Sunn O))) vinyl or pay over $100 for the first capitalist casualties 7" (how's that for irony) I guess it depends on your definition of a small label also. There's been tons of horror stories of bands saying how much it sucked ass to be on Relapse. I think it's kind of a straw man argument to say CD units being moved actually translates into any kind of profit for the band unless they are literally making them their selves. I think they'd much rather you pay to see them live or buy a T-Shirt.
