Yeah but of course I can't really tell them. I worked for the state of Ky. One that I can share is a family I visited while doing social work that had a man dying in bed [the father] and a mom that was fucking bonkers. She was dipping snuff running around begging for money and help. I couldn't get anyone to come see the man or get any medical help and he died over the July the 4th weekend. Their kids were filthy and there was shit [actual human excrement in the corners of the rooms where they lived. The smell from the apartment was so bad I was the only SW that would enter their living quarters. They had a young girl [about 11 if I remember ] that was being pimped out by a neighbor. The woman wound up in a mental institution and the kids in foster care. Just another day in the Appalachian coal fields ! There were of course all kind of hairy shit that went on with the juvies and their families but discretion is the better part of valor.
