She's trying this lousy reverse-psychology thing. I think she's trying to make the point that Whitacre's grandstanding draws more attention to the industry. Thinking that anything porn has a negative stigma attached, Monica's trying to make mikey feel bad by saying that his industry stand-up attitude can only bring negative attention in the mainstream press. So basically, she's saying that he's doing harm when he thinks he's doing good? I only speak a little coco-esque, so this assessment could be entirely wrong.
