I'd peruse his less political articles in Vanity Fair, but I didn't know much about him until my friend, Veronique Vega, announced one night at dinner years ago, turning me onto God Is Not Great, "He's very you." Now, I come home from a late night out and discover Hitchens' R.I.P. via Twitter. Yes, my first and last days of Christopher Hitchens appreciation was from an erstwhile porn star then later the bane of social fucking networking. And that, he would've appreciated.
