Or you could legalize them, and let the government tax them like cigarettes or alcohol.

Weed could be bought by the pack, like cigarettes, or in a pouch, like loose tobacco.

Hallucinogenics (like acid or shrooms) and Ecstasy, could be sold (with a distribution license), at specialty stores, head shops, or online retailers.

Hard drugs like coke, meth, heroin, or crack, could be prescribed by doctors to addicts (after a full psyche evaluation), so that they don't have to commit crimes to get their fix.

All of these things could be labeled by the Surgeon General, just like tobacco, and could be taxed by the government. I feel that this type of thing could strongly cut down on drug related crime, not to mention cutting down on the number of non-violent drug offenders filling our country's prisons.
