Typically eating GLUTENous foods (not Gluten-Free) as you get older when the metabolism slows down, occurs in those who aren't active and mainly because it's super high carb and rarely ever the good kind. Some are more prone to weight gain than others when eating it regularly. Gotta love genetics. Thus creating a domino effect of diabetes and such.
