I read recently that the movie that broke eddie murphy in beverly hills cop was actually made with the idea of having sly stallone play the murphy part, which is unbelievable and it got me thinking of some main stream movies and how different they could've been with say, sammura playing the lead role, here is one that jumps to mind.

Erin brockovich: Sammura enters the family trailor of one of the families that has cancer.
