The situation in Tamp was fucked. They gave up good picks to get Gruden, and along with salary cap issues, struggled to be able to get and keep god players. But he essentially coached two teams to the Super Bowl, since it was his team in both Oakland and Tampa in 2003. The man is smarter now from having spent time in the booth.

Strip down to the barebones in Oakland, and let him rebuild it

They got a decent shot at the playoffs, coach might not be horrible. I'd go w/ the new QB, and give this coach another year. Maybe try and find a wide out that can catch, not just run.
