We can make those little brass pipe screens last for months. Pull them out every so often, smoke the resin off the screen, put it back in...good to go.

So last week we're passing an out of town Chinese smoke shop I've dealt with in the past. We wander in to browse a little, cuz their prices are really good. I ended up getting this frosted glass zoom because it was reasonably priced and I haven't broken a glass piece in over a year. As I was paying, I notice a jar of packaged screens...10 for 99cents. Yeah, it's screen changing time. These goddanm Chinese screens are so flimsy they last about 2 days. If they build their tanks like this, we can stop worrying about them invading us.

Fucking Chinese screens.

I always preferred brass screens. I tried stainless steel and they do last longer but they would clog up fast. With brass I'd have to burn the screen like every 3 or 4 bowls but the stainless steel needed to be torched after every bowl.

It was a good pipe when its new but once it got dirty it was a major pain in the ass. I preferred the cheap anodized aluminum pipes. Standard sized, easy parts to replace and cheap enough that after a few months just toss it and get a new one.

Fine, I want to talk about TV's though. I have a 52" Sharp Aquos that I bought back in 07. It has the fluorescent backlight and only a 60 Hz refresh rate. I'd like a higher rate, LED backlight, more HDMI ports (only have two now), and I don't believe I want a 3D TV for now. I really like the Sharp brand but what does everyone else prefer? Only one of my pixels has gone bad in 4 years, I think that is pretty good.

If you think you hate protopipes, you'll really hate the Chinese version. I bought a dozen a couple of years ago to put a skin of polymer clay on. The looked pretty cool, but were just terrible quality. About half the price of the regular ones, but talk about your pieces of shit. The pokers just would not stay in their little holster.

I like the aluminum pipes too. I sell a ton of ones with a camo pattern on them every hunting season. Cheap parts, little labor, nice profit margin. Ah, I'm doing the Lord's Work.

I like the steel screens, because when they got clogged, I could just scrape any thing in there to unclog em. Pen, screw driver, butter knife, scissor, whatever it was they held up.

Also, I hate smoking out of metal and wood. Worst piece ever was a plastic steam roller my buddy had w/ a wood bowl. No matter what you smoked out of it, it tasked like brush fire and made you cough like hell. Wraps or glass for me. And regular papers too, no fucking flavored gayness or ghetto blunts.

Although for a while I was getting hash and keeping a chunk of it inconspicuously hidden in a tin foil pipe that I carefully balled up so it looked like the other trash in my car.

Jerkules talking about gay flavorings made me think of this. Has anyone seen this shit? They run full page ads in all the dope magazines, so they obviously sell a lot of the shit. I just don't get the point.

I used to get unbleached rice paper rolling papers. Couldn't taste it at all and very low ash. The only problem was those papers were delicate so it was sometimes tough to roll with. I ended up using a rolling machine with those papers.

Never could roll. I have the same little rolling machine I had in high school.
