Next year's #1 pick is going to be the most valuable in a long time. Cheaper rookie contracts, and a sure fire QB for the #1 pick, means a ton of teams will give up the farm for it. Minimum of 2 first round pick and 2second rounders, and probably a quality player thrown in.

Another thing, about the broadcast of last night's game. NBC is doing some kind of SNF Extra. If you go to there website, you can stream the game in HD. They give you stats, comments, and extra camera angles. End zone, sideline, arial, and star cams. Pretty cool, but my connection wasn't fast enough to stream the HD in good quality. Also, there is a lag between the stream and TV.

Future of the NFL is PPV Stream. They intro it now and then in 5-10 years when the bugs are worked out, 5-10 bucks per game. Only thing you will see for free is your local team.

In reality though, I think they looked at the landscape of free agent frenzy and next to no camp, and decided to save their marbles for next season, when they bring in a new coach (Cowher?). Yep. 1-2-3, Couch, D-Mac, and Akili. The only 2 QB's who put up ProBowl almost MVP-in-a-season type numbers in that entire draft was McNabb and Daunte. Every other QB wound up being busts like Couch and Akili, and scrubs.

Funny thing about Tedford QB's. Even though he runs a Pro-Style offense from his days going back the the Fresno St Bulldogs, almost all of them including Carr, Akili and Dilfer have been mediocre, or busts. Even though I think Rodgers is Elite, who knows where he would be in the curve had the 49ers drafted him instead of the moribund Alex Smith. GB has ran a WCO based offense for years with Favre, so having a system in place is a big reason for Rodger's accelerated climb to Elite. But he hasn't broken the Tedford "myth" or "curse".

Andrew Luck is gonna be the real deal though next draft, and he isn't a Tedford product, maybe not so much a Harbaugh product either.
