I'm sorry, but I call bullshit on the people that took this song literally. I'm no fan, other than their wrestling and branding, but I think the drubbing they took over this was a bit much. The simplicity of the concept is pretty hard to miss. Unless you're wanting to not see it. It's funny that songs in general have a tendency to the metaphorical and thematic, but somehow all that was missed this time around. I'd imagine to two guys from Detroit that made it pretty big against some pretty daunting odds, 80,000 people coming together for them is quite a miracle. I think at it's heart it's a celebration of seeing things through a kid's eyes. There's nothing wrong with that.
Hell, I won't change alight switch unless I've turned the main off myself. I always tell people electricity is magic.
