That pistol will never be mistaken for a real gun. It looks like something from Acme Corp. that would backfire on the Wile E. Coyote while shooting at RoadRunner. But I can see how it makes sense to make it look like it isn't a real gun.
I think a funny animal trap could be made based on something I witnessed a while back. A squirrel went inside our birdhouse when the momma bird was away. It ate all the baby birds, then got stuck in the opening of the birdhouse because its own gluttony made it so fat it would no longer fit through the door. There it died. So basically, you'd want a box with a bunch of food in it and a doorway just large enough for the hungry animal to make it inside. After it gorges, it would get to be too fat to leave and would die of dehydration, I guess.
