There are jobs that neither fuck up your body, or stigmatize you and reduce your earning capacity. (Office worker) There are others which fuck up your body but which are well paying. (coal miner) A porn whore, mope, or other sex worker both typically fuck up their bodies and stigmatize themselves from future gainful employment. With the exception of dealing drugs, I don't know of any other "profession" which has such a negative impact on both health and future earnings.

You can play Foucault, and claim such stigma is going to disappear, but the social distaste for someone being a whore, is one of the stronger taboos in our society. Go read the blog by Penny Flame called Becoming Jennie, where she describes how being a whore fucked up her world view and familial relationships, even though she was more successful at making money in porn then most women.

To summarize, if I had a family member who asked me if they should shoot porn I would do my best to talk them out of it, and point out that they would be spending their career working with, some of the more loathsome human beings our society has to offer.
