First I, and most other people, don't respect "reality" stars. Spenser Pratt, a total Douche, to name one example. Snookie? You can park cars inside her cranium.

It's almost impossible to respect anyone who fucks someone else for money for pay on film, because sooner or later, they'll have to do more and more degraded things on camera. (See Max Hardcore, and yes he is a total pig)

Now do I like some porn stars as people, yes, but they usually could be doing something more productive with their lives then fucking on film, and for every one who makes real money, there are dozens, who end up in the Bukkake bin. what is degrading is all relative and socially constructed.
thirty years ago homosexuality,interracial dating, hell even having sex on a first date were all taboo. These acts now are now common place. Hell college kids are having porn style sex now a days.

As far as being more productive. If life was about being productive. We would all be engineers or hedgefund managers inventing and investing in ways to solve the energy crisis.
The average person is crunching numbers for the sales of the iphone five,flipping burgers or desperately holding on to their manufacturing job. They get up everyday and do this from 9-5,praying for happy hour and the weekend.

I see no more difference,in them or pornstars who have sex
