Many people allege Shelley Luben does it to evoke sympathies from the god fearing Christians and ask for donations to help the 'victims' and their babies. It's a business just like those NGO ads on CNN saying you donate 10$ and some kid gets food in Africa.

I mean there is some sad story behind every hooker and porn-actress: broken home or drug abuse etc, so just concentrate on the boobs-n-booty without letting your conscience interfere much with your fantasies.
