I have to agree with everything you said. Luckily I haven't had to go under the hood very often as yet.

Today I got the electric trunk lock working again but failed to fix the fuel filler lock and the keyless entry system I put in gave up the ghost for no discernible reason. It worked fine for about a week. It was cheap so I guess I got what I payed for. They're really weird, quirky cars with relays stashed everywhere when a fused red and black wire would do just fine.
