I've become intimate with the Jag. Indeed I have it in about 100 pieces right now. I love it. It is so unnecessarily complicated, electrically, that it's been more rewarding to work on than a soduku puzzle. And it always runs... like a scalded dog.
Jags are fascinating. I always wondered how they could put an inline engine into a car, and then throw on so much extra shit that the entire engine compartment seemed full. Some of the mid 80s cars with the v12 engines were just over the top. You could pick up a handful of small sockets, nuts, bolts and screws, throw them on top of the engine, and not a single one would fall through to the floor. Those jags make my early 32 valve 928 look simplistic.
