Everyone in the 80s had at least one shitty movie song to their credit though. Even the one Jackson Browne did for Fast Times at Ridgemont High sounded like it was written for Kenny Loggins.

Mini rolling pin in Ikea for $0.50. It is broken but I can glue it easily, I got it in the As-Is section. And 2 hot dogs with 1 cinnamon bun for $2.00.

I had lasik about 5 yrs ago, and hoped I'd be done with glasses even though the surgeon warned me I'd need readers. Well, today I went in the "Dollar General" store to buy 3 pairs of readers to leave scattered about the house and shop and as I was paying the clerk whispered "since my manager isn't here I'll tell you they ain't but a dollar a pair down the street at the "Dollar Tree". Basically, she took my money for three pairs of glasses and I could have had twenty pairs.

Fallout New Vegas with all the DLC. I have been waiting for them before I played it.
RAGE. I enjoyed this a lot better than most people.
Zeno Clash. Really bizarre fist person melee combat game.
And around 7 others that I haven't gotten into yet. I pick stuff up on sale and save it for when I'm bored.
Trust me, Conq, if someone gifted me with a NASA super computer, then I too, would be all over the PC games. I haven't played PC games since DOOM and DOOM 2 back when I lived with my folks. Have fun with New Vegas, it's a fucking blast, but it doesn't hold up to Fallout 3, IMO. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk games, regardless of platform of choice.
Hm. You don't have to have some extraordinarily expensive PC to run most games released nowadays at settings consoles won't ever reach. And regarding FPS games, it's always fun if console people get mocked for their controller gameplay. The mocking ones're right though. It's not even close.
Extraordinarily? No. But the difference between a PC that can run current games efficiently and one that can't is at least the price of a good video card, good sound card, and an up to date processor. I use computers to read and troll the internet. $300 at the most. I'm poor, PD. The only reason I have a 360 is because a friend was cool enough to buy me one, then let me pay him back in a few chunks.
3 gal. RV anti-freeze. I was hoping I could avoid it, but I'm not leaving until Nov. 8 and we might get a freeze. Winnebago makes it easy, took about 10 minutes to fill the plumbing lines.
I guess you're right, fartz. Minus the soundcard though, as on-board is okay nowadays. 300 for a decent card, about the same for a good CPU, plus all the rest. It's the better gaming machine if it's worth it for the folks buying it.

I used to play on the pc but haven't for years. A few years ago I was supposed to have hernia surgery. I was told by everyone that I'd be couchbound for a couple of weeks, so I stocked up on books, DVDs and bought a PS2 and some games off CL for like $50. Pretty well hooked me on the console thing. When the thing crapped out, I took an assload of books to the store and got store credit to buy a 360. I never buy games new, tho. Ebay is my friend there. My only complaint is you can't stream YouTube. But beyond that, it's a darn fine console.
Latest purchases have been Left 4 Dead 2, Bloodstorm and Homefront. I like 1st person shooters.

I like any game that's fun. I prefer open-world types recently, as I get anywhere from 40-200 hours of play out them. Red Dead Redemption and the resurrected Fallout series are some of my recent faves by a longshot. I prefer sci-fi and story-driven FPS over the military stuff. I also enjoy a good JRPG, but they are a dying breed that's been mostly relegated to the Nintendo DS. I just finished up Castlevania LOS, Singularity, and Borderlands on 360, and Golden Sun 3 + Radiant Historia on the DS. Right now I'm playing Arkham City on the 360 and Dragonquest VI on the DS.
Without going on a gushing gaming fan-boy tangent, let me just say that Arkham City is one of the most amazing games I've ever had the privilege to play, and this is coming from a guy who could really give two shits about Batman.
Conq and PD, I don't know what kind of setup you guys are sporting or if you guys even give a shit about this game, but apparently the Nvidia GeForce GTX with the PhysX shit turned on makes the game look sweet as fuck.
PhysX usually's a nearly obsolete gimmick. Cloth should wave around a bit here and there, although, if it isn't there, it doesn't take away much from anything I've seen it in. Real advantages over console graphics would be the level of detail displayed, the amount of texture filtering applied and the mere use of anti-aliasing. Plus the rendering at resolutions over what current consoles use. And at higher framerates. Check out some pseudo HD clips of Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 for obvious results if you're interested.
Oh, I know the difference. One of my friends is a PC gamer but he mainly plays Fallout and Dwarf Fortress, as he's more broke than I am. Trust me, my jaw fucking dropped when I saw the draw distance on Fallout 3 compared to the haphazard pop-in that clogged up the fluidity of the 360 version.
Should I check out Crysis 2? I put it on my, "I'll pick it up when it's cheap and I'm out of games" list.
