As far as the RCMP goes, that's funny to me. I had to get a police clearance certificate from them for a job. They act like typical cops do. In other words, just like you....assume you are guilty of something. Why else would you need it?

Maybe they are used to dealing with criminals and have a biased predisposition. I don't know. I just found it funny to see the change in demeanour with the officer when he came back with a clean record report. His tone with me changed to "Here you go, friend!" It was as if I went from being an untouchable to being worthy of his eye contact.

I just stood there, slack-jawed.
