Mr. Derek Andrew Hay deigns to lower himself to the masses and thank people for their efforts in shutting down PWL, a site that began as DerekAndrewHay dot com.
On behalf of everyone from XPT who joined us and took a stand against the Donkey, this is our response:I'm speaking for no one but myself and my XPT cohorts here:
The GIRLS of LA Direct owe us no thanks. Doing right is its own reward, and, in full candor, our guys got involved because one of our own was targeted. This was when it was still DerekAndrewHay dot com, and Derek wasn't lifting a finger to help anyone, not even his own.
At first, we couldn’t do much beyond spamming the Donkey and asking the questions no one dared ask. And we did it by ourselves. Some of the things we questioned, we got wrong. Many more, we’re now seeing, we got right. Still, when everyone else was ducking for cover, when the mere mention of the Donkey was a bannable offense on XPT, we harassed the enemy.
All the while, Derek did nothing.
It wasn’t long before we joined efforts with like-minded folks: First Spiegler, a guy most of us didn’t know from Adam. Then South, with whom I’d worked before and was glad to work with again. Then, God Bless Him, an out-and-out lunatic named Sean Tompkins launched “The REAL Porn Wiki Leaks” and then the snowball became an avalanche.
All the while, Derek did nothing.
Along the way, we found allies amongst those we’d had differences before: Cindi Loftus, who is sometimes too fair to people, but threw the gauntlet down when it mattered. Monica Foster, someone I once deemed too unstable to get the Donkey’s intellius report but whose tenacity (especially with Tara and Fattarossi) were crucial to the joint effort. Michael Whitacre, whom I only knew as “the guy who hates Lubben,” but who put aside his differences with South for the common good. Mercedes Ashley, without whom we probably would have never heard of Sean.
All the while, Derek did nothing.
Ending the Donkey’s reign was a joint effort from the very beginning. It’s noteworthy that this effort began, in large part, because a few pervs on a porn board, without resources to speak of, didn’t like how their friend and others were treated on a board called “Derek Andrew Hay dot com,” while the actual Derek Andrew Hay did nothing.
Nor is it strange that XPT took the lead in this. The record demonstrates that, since 2007, we have done more to ridicule the Donkey than any others. Next time you take a gander at
www.donnylongisaconvictedfelon.com, remember that the “Howdy Donkey” graphic was created by an XPT poster from Puerto Rico named “El Glorioso” (or L.G., as we like to call him.) Remember that half of the criminal convictions listed there were found by XPT members. Remember that we were the ones to fuck with him when he named all his girls “Long,” when he opened that matchstick “studio on Adolf “Hitter’s” birthday. We’ve had the Donkey in our sights for many years. And all the while, Derek and his messenger boy did nothing.
But, getting rid of PWL isn’t about thanks, or credit, or kudos or anything of the kind. In truth, every last one of us at XPT wishes to avoid it. We know that the girls at LA Direct owe no one their thanks. They were powerless. What we did was simply what we would do even if one of our own wasn’t targeted as a means of getting at Derek, when Derek, being Derek, did nothing.
Derek, I can’t speak for anyone but myself and the guys who’ve been working with me, but your “thanks” rings as hollow as some of the PWL posters’ “apologies.
Lastly, let me make it abundantly clear that, as long as the Donkey refuses to take down the Spiegler site and film jobs, we do not consider any agreement binding. Not for the Donkey, not for his minions. There are people who have been XPT members from the very beginning we know have posted there and NOT with the intent to mess with the Donkey. You know who you are, and some of you have already seen the warnings. And we’re coming after you. XPT not only knows better, it DOES better. In my book, you guys posting there, betraying one of our own, is as heinous as Derek Andrew Hay doing nothing.
