I also realized some of you might be wondering why I don't have a credit card. I don't have ruined credit or anything, I have just never bothered to get one, my debit card and chequing account work fine.

Visa gift cards cost about an extra 5 bucks no matter how much is on them. Only a fool would pay 30 bucks so they can spend 25. And there is no debit card option and I still wouldn't use a debit card to PAY for something that is FREE. That is the issue here, things that are free aren't supposed to cost a damn thing.

BTW in case you care Jerkules, debit cards in Canada tend to operate on a system called "Interac" which is not one of the listed payment options. But if you ever see a yellow logo that says "Interac" that is what it is about.

I know nothing of Canadian Debit cards. All I know is that if it wasn't for US ones, I'd still be wacking to minute and a half clips and still photos <<shudder>>.

For some reason the Canadian ones really have not caught on as a form of online payment. Even if I buy stuff from Canadian mail order places I usually send a cheque or use PayPal. I hope that evolves.

As far as being anonymous and porn goes I gave that up long ago while I was working managing and doing stock at a porn shop.

What wasn't pointed out (except in very fine print that smears on most TV screens) is that you are buying a subscription to the GGW DVD of the month club that automatically bills to your credit card. If you tried to cancel, the GGW boiler room would tell you to go fuck yourself, knowing very well that if you fight it, they will reveal to everyone they can that you, a 50 y/o perv are buying videos of naked, drunken "college" girls.

I thought all that content was always free.

Bottomline:

1. It's a dollar and not free.

2. There is the usual trap. If you don't cancel in time, you end up paying more for a month than if you subscribed.

3. There is the additional snag of the $2.95 subscription to the movie site.

4. There is possibly an unseen trap if you don't cancel that tow day $2.95 subscription and think that you only have to cancel the 3 day one, don't be too surprised to see a charge from that company on your charge card. And, they won't willingly take it off.

5. And, if you cancel the two day one, the three day one will likely cancel as well. So, it's really 2 days for $3.95.

I once signed up for a "Napster of Porn" site I came across. It was 2005 or 2006. The clips were small, were mostly 320x240 and needed to be joined. But, that wasn't completely unusual for the time.

I got some quality stuff and was introduced to a few girls I hadn't come across before.

And, some stuff from what I assume were dead sites. A nice scene with Felix Vicious in a BangBus kind of ripoff, called the Slut Van, for example. Wow. Never heard about this before. A couple of years back, I had a telemarketer call and try to get me to accept a free copy of one of their videos. Started out sort of like a survey, the gentleman on the other end ask me a few questions about my views on "adult movies," which I responded with as long as it wasn't child porn, what someone watches in their own house is their own business.

Then the guy on the other end took a really informal tone after that, like he was my long lost best buddy from high school and calling me by my first name, and was offering me the above mentioned free movie. I said "nah, not interested." Which prompted him to ask why and I said, "I have enough porn as it is already." He then proceeded to tell me that this was "unlike any other porn I've ever seen" and blah, blah, blah. He finally gave up and told me to have a nice day. One of the most persistent telemarketers I ever spoke with.

Long story short, looks like I'm glad I didn't take the bait.
