These people choose Christianity because they believe it washes away the stains of their sins, at least officially. But most probably choose it because it offers them another target, other than themselves, to blame for their self perceived bad behavior.
I'd say it has more to do with them returning where they came from. People raised as atheists don't suddenly find Jesus. Belladonna was a Mormon, etc etc. The whole 'my preacher touched my privates and when I told my Mom she said I was a bad girl' background is standard to many of the girls in the 'industry.'
