When I lived in Ukraine in the 90s there were a lot of bubble gum that was sold sold by the pieces, not like here in USA where you get 5 and 10 packs of gum. That chewing gum came with inserts or stickers inside, just like Bazooka Joe. But these days this bubble gum is gone from the market.

When I was a kid there was a small corner store about 5 blocks from my house. This old lady lived in that store. Everyday old Mrs. P would be in her store from open to close. Next to the front register she had a candy counter. There was an assortment of candy bars but she also had penny candy. You could buy jawbreakers, red hot dollars, swedish fish, mary janes, squirrels, bazzooka joe, and gum balls all by the piece for a penny.
