That sucks, you can replace it for 40-80 bucks assuming it's 32-bits. throw some artic silver 5 and a copper heatsink on it and it'll be quiet and happy. btw, if it's socket A, the mobiles that got released to the public work in your board and are all at least as fast as an xp3200, run cooler and don't have a locked multiplier for probably 70USD.
