The prohibition on accusations is against making claims that you know are false and that are likely to cause trouble with the police, job or family & friends.

Claiming that a XXXPT user is a woman-beater, when that person's job is an agent for women in porn, can obviously caused all kinds of problems not easily corrected by the victim.

Conversely calling me a white honkey isn't going to cause me any trouble beyond my own moral outrage and that can be assuaged by posting a rebuttal or complaint right here.

In short, the prohibition again known false claims is to prevent real problems in the Real World and not to morph XXXPT into a haven for "Shiny Happy Porno People" (to quote the Arab). Racial slurs won't cause the victim problems in the Real World and the victim can respond in the same manner and with the same visibility as the perpetrator.

PS. If you stop by a donut shop and Elvis tells you someone is a dangerous criminal that is not the same as knowing it is true.
